Dr. Rowell has been a pediatrician at Lawndale Christian Health Center since 1995. He completed medical school at the University of Chicago in 1992, and a pediatric residency at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago in 1995. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Rowell is also a member of the Christian Medical Association and the Christian Community Health Fellowship. He completed his undergraduate education at Wheaton College where he majored in Chemistry.
Dr. Rowell sees pediatric and adolescent patients in the clinic and is on staff at Mt. Sinai Hospital and St. Anthony’s Hospital for any children who need to be admitted to the hospital. Dr. Rowell's interests and involvements at Lawndale include: improving clinical quality, developing the clinic’s Electronic Medical Record system, achieving Patient Centered Medical Home certification, and integrating spiritual care into patient services. Dr. Rowell has traveled twice to Afghanistan to support LCHC staff involved with medical residency training programs for Afghan doctors.
