Mission and Values
The mission of Lawndale Christian Health Center is to show and share the love of Jesus by promoting wellness and providing quality, affordable healthcare for Lawndale and the neighboring communities.
Our organizational values are an extension of the Christian Community Development philosophy, embodied by the “3 R’s”: Relocation, Reconciliation, and Redistribution.
Relocation is a focus on ‘living among’ in order to clearly understand the issues that face a community.
Reconciliation is the value at the heart of the Christian Gospel, and includes both a reconciled relationship with God and with each other.
Redistribution happens when resources are fairly and justly distributed among a community facing injustice.

Our Focus
ACCESS TO CARE
Lawndale Christian Health Center is working to improve the health and wellbeing of the patients who have chosen us as their medical home, as well as the health of the communities around us. We provide high quality services that are accessible and affordable regardless of a patient’s insurance status.
OVERALL wellbeing
Our approach to health incorporates more than just medical care. We believe that emotional, spiritual, and mental health are of equal importance, which is why you’ll find us continuing to expand services like behavioral health, treatment for opioid use disorder, and weekday programming for seniors. In addition, we operate a fitness center, café, event venues, and urban farm that allow us to invite the whole community into our mission – whether they seek medical care with us or not.
FAITH
All of this is built on a foundation of faith – our values and mission are shaped by the love of Jesus Christ. Our identity is summarized by our slogan, “Loving God, loving people.”
How We Work
Lawndale Christian Health Center is modeled as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) to deliver the best possible care to our patients. This model is characterized by 5 attributes:
Comprehensive Care – patients are assigned to a care team that works together to meet the vast majority of each patient’s needs, including mental health supports, prevention, chronic disease management, and acute care.
Patient-Centered – our patients are viewed as the center of their care team. We want each patient to manage and organize their own care at the level they choose. As partners in care, providers and patients can build strong, trusting relationships.
Coordinated Care – LCHC assists patients by coordinating care they may need outside of the clinic, such as hospital services, social supports, specialty care, and more.
Accessible Services – patients have phone access to a provider around the clock, other direct communication methods, access to urgent care, and access to extended clinic hours.
Quality and Safety – LCHC is committed to providing high quality services by using evidence-based medicine, practicing population health management, using performance measures, responding to patient feedback, and collecting a large volume of quality and safety data.
