Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 24 — it’s a big day in North Lawndale! Start the morning at Lawndale Community Church’s service from 10–11:30AM. Enjoy a full afternoon of neighborhood celebrations from 12–5PM. 

Check out Chicago’s Classic Car Show, the 24th Ward Back to School Bash Festival, and take time to save a life by donating blood at the Great Lawndale Blood Drive! Don’t miss the 19th Annual Firehouse Block Party for Peace (12–7PM at 2111 S. Hamlin Ave), featuring live music, breakdancing, art, games, food, and family fun. You can also catch performances at the Timbre Music Festival later in the day.
