Ride with us at the 5th Annual Chicago Bike Collective Ride (organized by Equiticity) on Friday, November 1.
The goal of The Chicago Bike Collective Ride is to celebrate all of the bike collectives serving Black and Brown communities here in Chicago, including, though not limited to, community bike shops, clubs, organizations, and retailers. The ride will begin at the beautiful Palmisano nature park, explore the Bridgeport and Pilsen neighborhoods, and end back at the park.
• Meet at Palmisano Park (27th & Halsted) at 6pm
• The group will roll out at 7pm
• We will explore a bit of the Bridgeport neighborhood and traverse through a garden of murals in the beautiful Pilsen neighborhood.
• Our tour guide through Pilsen's historic and beautiful murals is the acclaimed Luis Tubens with Pilsen Public Art Tours.
• We'll return to Palmisano Park around 9:30pm

The Firehouse Community Arts Center of Chicago is thrilled to announce the 17th Annual Block Party for Peace, taking place on August 24th from 12 PM to 10 PM at 2111 S. Hamlin Ave in North Lawndale. This much-anticipated, family-oriented event is the only hip-hop block party on the west side that promotes nonviolence.
The event is thoughtfully designed to engage guests throughout the day with a variety of neighborhood activities. There will be activation stations catering to youth, adults, and families, offering food, music, artwork, yoga, basketball tournaments, graffiti art, an EMC battle, game trucks, bouncy houses, and more. Local hip-hop artists will perform throughout the day, culminating in a memorable performance by viral hip-hop sensation Big K.R.I.T., known for his authentic and heartfelt flows.

Join us race weekend for the West Side Wellness Walk at the Bank of America Chicago 13.1. The 1.31 mile walk is a family friendly activity that takes participants on a tour of the south side of Garfield Park.
