Lawndale Christian Health Center Wins 2013 Chicago Association of REALTORS® Bruce Abrams Good Neighbor Award

The Chicago Association of REALTORS® recently presented Lawndale Christian Health Center with the 2013 Bruce Abrams Good Neighbor Award for the construction of our new building at 3750 W Ogden Avenue, the Health & Fitness Center.

The Good Neighbor Award was created for ground-breaking rehabs and development throughout Chicago, rewarding visionaries for "breaking the mold," and setting new standards of excellence. Initially, the award was given to property owners whose property rehabs helped bring a positive impact to the surrounding neighborhood. Today, the award goes much farther - it recognizes those whose efforts go "above and beyond" their peers, conquering challenges, and bringing innovative ideas to the marketplace.

The Bruce Abrams Good Neighbor Award is a special Good Neighbor Award named after the founder and president of LR Development, now Related Midwest. He was a highly successful and well respected developer of commercial and residential real estate, known not only for tireless energy and ambition but for the care and taste with which he approached renovation projects in historic and aging properties. The Bruce Abrams award is bestowed upon only one Good Neighbor Award recipient each year for exceptional work. LCHC is honored to have received this award.

As an award recipient, Lawndale Christian Health Center was recognized in the Chicago Tribune Sunday, May, 26th, 2013 Winners Ad; featured in a special issue of the Chicago REALTORS® Magazine and on the GNA website.
